- Live Praxes
Live Praxes est une rencontre de performances qui comprend des ateliers, des séminaires et des soirées de performances. Un des buts de ces rencontres est de créer un espace pour discuter des pratiques textuelles performatives dans les sphères artistiques, curatoriales et pédagogiques. Les événements organisés se concentrent sur la notion de performance textuelle en tant que médium mais aussi en tant qu’appareil de recherche et à partir de là, s’ouvre sur un large éventail de supports et de formats, y compris les images en mouvement, le théâtre, les conférences, les installations, les publications, le son et la chorégraphie.
Live Praxes is a performance encounter that includes workshops, seminars and performance nights. It creates a space to discuss textual performative practices in artistic,
curatorial and pedagogical spheres. Live praxes focuses on the notion of text-based performance as not only a medium but also a research apparatus. It is committed to the concepts of ‘performativity and textuality’, with an extensive scope of mediums and formats including moving images, theatre, lectures, installations, publications, sound and choreography.

TRA est une chanteuse, compositrice et beatmaker sud-africaine basée à Zürich. Elle fait occasionnellement de la musique pour le cinéma et le théâtre et fait également partie du groupe «Black Pitch».
Quand on lui demande quel genre de musique elle fait, elle répond : «bonne question ! Sa musique est le reflet des nombreux lieux et espaces qu’elle habite au sens propre et au sens figuré.
Lorsqu’elle ne fait pas de musique, TRA est une DJ sous son pseudonyme, youngseptember. Elle mixe de la musique contemporaine et expérimentale d’Afrique et de la diaspora.
*Duuu organise deux soirées radiophoniques à Bétonsalon – Centre d’art et de recherche dans le cadre de Bivouacs, une programmation ouverte, composée d’une série d’invitations à des festivals, collectifs d’artistes, maisons d’édition, programmes de résidence et de recherche.
La radio invite Gilles Furtwängler, artiste et poète suisse, pour REVENIR ET DIRE ÇA. Il s’agit d’une émission radiophonique dédiée à la voix, celle d’artistes, d’écrivains, de poètes et de chanteurs. Ce programme réunit une sélection d’artistes, qui s’augmente à chaque occurence. Les artistes ayant participé au programme sont également réinvités régulièrement.

Wet fingers and Mirror
Takahashi sharpens the curiosity of the listeners by offering them up a space for their own associations. The title here gives the mind a clue what the ear might not detect: the squeaking and chirping sounds are created with movement—a dance, so to speak, of wet fingers on a mirror.

A flock of rotations est un décompte à rebours, une horloge élastique, un modèle du temps, de son extension et de sa rétraction. La ‘structure formule’ répond à la proposition suivante : N2 = 2∑-N
Soit, chaque entier naturel au carré est égal à la somme de tous les nombres qui le composent multipliée par 2 moins lui-même.
Ex : 102= 100
soit 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10 = 55

La formule est ici appliquée à la division conventionnelle du temps, en partant de la division de la minute en 60 secondes et en plaçant chaque seconde (énoncée vocalement) après la durée effective du temps qu’elle représente et ce jusqu’à 60 puis retour à 1 (soit 1+2+3+4+5+6+7…57+58+59+60+59+58+57….+7+6+5+4+3+2+1), le total de tous les temps intermédiaire est égal à 3600 secondes, soit 1 heure précise.
Le temps s’étire, se contracte, se rétracte, élastique, mais ne rompt pas.

In the spirit of La Bohème and following the tradition of Kafeneio talks, A Conversation with Athens is an intend to organize a new series of meetings gathering voices of the local art scene in Athens.
The conversations are held in English and host by Florent Frizet & Eric Stephany, two french artists currently living in Athens.
locus athens, a nomadic non-profit arts organization, was originally formed in 2004 by Maria-Thalia Carras and Sophia Tournikiotis, with the aim of exploring the juncture between public space in Athens and contemporary art. Commissioning artists to produce new works based on in situ research, locus athens curated exhibitions, talks and screenings in various locations of the city as well as organizing educational programs and publishing a series of award winning children’s art books.
In 2012 the team was joined by Olga Hatzidaki, starting with a first collaboration which continued into a long-term partnership. Gradually also Sofia withdrew from active involvement from locus athens. Olga and Maria-Thalia developed projects in and about the public spaces of Athens, building on former experience and injecting locus athens’ program with new energy. They explored different curatorial models with projects that shifted in scale and size, collaborating with a wide range of institutions, reaching out to different communities and thinking further about the necessity of tackling contested issues.
In 2019, Maria-Thalia and Olga decided on a more radical shift in their approach, thinking of the ‘public’ less as architectural space but more as content and communities. They envisioned TAVROS, a mid-sized space in the eponymous area of Athens, as a new home for their arts projects, with a varied program of exhibitions, talks and community projects geared to responding to the social and political circumstances around us, giving voices to marginalized communities, and exploring notions of democracy, equality and ecology through dialogue listening and learning.
- Just two or three years after the moon landing, we see the earth spinning, a distant horizon, views of lakes, or is it snow ? It’s unclear.

After the partition of India in 1947, the former British province of Punjab was split between East Punjab, in India, and West Punjab, in Pakistan. A new capital city was thus required to replace Lahore, which had become part of Pakistan. Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, dreamt to build a utopian new capital. Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret were commissioned to work on this new city’s master plan. Named after Hindu goddess Chandi: Chandigarh was born. Developed jointly by Le Corbusier and Jeanneret, the city of Chandigarh was despite all expectations, greatly shaped by the spirit of the latter. Jeanneret moved to India in 1951, where he remained for fifteen years.

Iordanis Kerenedis and Piergiorgo Pepe : Kerenidis Pepe collection
The activities of the Kerenidis Pepe collection started in 2007 in Paris, by Iordanis Kerenidis (CNRS research director in quantum computing) and Piergiorgio Pepe (ethics professional and lecturer at SciencesPo). The collection supports art that enables new ways of seeing, acquiring agency, and producing social affect; an art that uses language to challenge normative divisions, such as “visible / invisible”, giving priority to partial perspectives and multidimensionality.
The collection focuses the long-term support and acquisitions of artworks by I. Aballí, A. Barón, E; Barto, A. Cesarco, D. G. Cramer, Detanico & Lain, J. Discrit, H. Epaminonda, A. Froment, D. García, M. García Torres, D. Horvitz, F. Jung, S. Kallinikou, C. Koumianaki, J. Lempert, C. Morel, J. Nédélec, B. Ortiz, C. Panayiotou, N. Papaconstantinou, E. Ramírez, V. Santoro, A. Schlesinger, P. Vlassopoulou, E. Werth. Works from the collection have been shown at Reina Sofia, Madrid; Bonnier Konsthall, Stockholm; Fondation Ricard, Paris, etc.
The collection activities also include public projects like Phenomenon, a biennial residency and exhibition on Anafi, Greece, for which they received the Montblanc Patronage Award. They organize exhibitions, including Multitudinous Seas at the Fondation Hippocrène in Paris, One minute, One hour…One million years at the Island Club in Limassol, or as part of the FIAC VIP program.
The collection’s research activities focus on understanding the conditions that led to the normative role of today’s collector and advocate for collectors as ethical, creative, and socially engaged agents. Currently, P. Pepe teaches Ethics in the art sector at SciencesPo, and the collection plans starting a broader research and dialogue with other collections on a new ethics of collecting. The collection has been represented in the CNAP acquisition committee and the board of Council. It also maintains a publishing activity of artist and poetry books and catalogues.
Of course you are following your trajectory by the choices that you make, by the things you are open to. You have an invitation, something you haven’t thought about before, and then you try to lay it.

Katerina Tselou studied Literature and Art History at University of Athens, and then moved to Paris for her postgraduate studies on Art Theory at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). She is the curator of the Pavilion of Greece at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019). She was Curatorial Advisor at documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel, as well as Assistant to the Artistic Director Adam Szymczyk (2014–17). She was a co-curator at the 4th Athens Biennale in 2013. From 2009 to 2013 she was the curator of the visual arts program at the National Theatre of Greece, and from 2007 to 2008 she worked as Exhibition Coordinator at Argos Centre for Art and Media in Brussels. She has also organized projects as an independent curator in Greece, collaborating with institutions such as the Athens School of Fine Arts, University of Thessaly Department of Architecture, European Film Festival, and Notos Theatre. Tselou lives and works in Athens.
What do you mean by “delivery”? Is that the delivery of something that you buy? But also it’s delivering the experience of art? If I’m taking this book option, what do you deliver? A lecture? Or a reading? How does it work?

Myrto Katsimicha
Myrto Katsimicha (b. 1991, Athens) is a curator based in Athens, Greece. She holds a BA in Media, Communication and Culture from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens (2012) and a MA in Curating the Contemporary from London Metropolitan University and the Whitechapel Gallery, London (2014). Her research interest lies within notions of collectivity and self-organisation within the arts and the points of convergence between independent art initiatives and institutions today. In 2017-18, she was the 12-month intern in the Adult & Academic Programs, Education Department at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Within the framework of her internship she conducted field research on the independent art scene in Mexico City and later organized and moderated the public program “From Mexico City to New York: A conversation with Tamara Ibarra and Rachel Valinsky” on collaborative practices and the links between independent art practices and contemporary art institutions (MoMA, September 5, 2018).

What if we at least aimed to get rid of those that find no audience? This is the ironic premise offered by French artist Anne-Valerie Gasc, who vows to eliminate any of her artworks that cannot find collectors. And if we listened to her, our depots would be much emptier.
