Les Voix de la Vallée #06 :
Laura Berlingo & François Chaignaud

Dans le cadre de l’exposition La Vallée de Fabrice Hyber, la Fondation Cartier invite Laura Berlingo, gynécologue obstétricienne, et François Chaignaud, danseur et chorégraphe, au programme de cours du soir Les Voix de la Vallée. Au sein de l’exposition, ils dialogueront en public afin d’éprouver les hypothèses proposées par Fabrice Hyber dans ses toiles.

Ce soir, prenant appui sur l’œuvre Je sais n° 5, Laura Berlingo et François Chaignaud passeront du savoir théorique à la connaissance pratique en reprenant la formule du poète Pierre Giquel : « On vous donne un corps, diffusez-le ! » et échangeront sur les thèmes de la danse, de la sexualité, de sa représentation et de l’exploration des potentiels du corps.

In the spirit of La Bohème and following the tradition of Kafeneio talks, A Conversation with Athens is an intend to organize a new series of meetings gathering voices of the local art scene in Athens.

The conversations are held in English and host by Florent Frizet & Eric Stephany, two french artists currently living in Athens.

Katerina Tselou studied Literature and Art History at University of Athens, and then moved to Paris for her postgraduate studies on Art Theory at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). She is the curator of the Pavilion of Greece at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019). She was Curatorial Advisor at documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel, as well as Assistant to the Artistic Director Adam Szymczyk (2014–17). She was a co-curator at the 4th Athens Biennale in 2013. From 2009 to 2013 she was the curator of the visual arts program at the National Theatre of Greece, and from 2007 to 2008 she worked as Exhibition Coordinator at Argos Centre for Art and Media in Brussels. She has also organized projects as an independent curator in Greece, collaborating with institutions such as the Athens School of Fine Arts, University of Thessaly Department of Architecture, European Film Festival, and Notos Theatre. Tselou lives and works in Athens.
