Moyo is a magic charm or talisman. The project conceives of a methodology towards rethinking the capacity for sound to embody spiritual agency. This sound collage is an alternative proposition for the creation mythology using the Dikenga cosmogram as a directional repository and holding space. Looking at emptiness as a fertilizing space with a benevolent cadence across a series of seemingly incongruous spaces through a four part synthesis indexing rootedness and displacement through cadence, black vocal intonation and rhythmic assemblage.
