Shorty Skilz is a hip hop artist, born and bred in Soweto, South Africa but has affiliations worldwide spanning.
Appearing under aliases such as ‘The Black Magician’ and ‘Ascended Master’ he explores a vast range of topics that range from science fiction, the mystic arts to mere social commentary. He is also a co-founder of a Johannesburg based underground record label Iapetus Records. The record label houses several household hip hop names such as ‘The Hymphatic Thabs’ and the late ROBO. His carreer spans just over two decades.
Prior to embarking on the establisment of Iapetus Records alongside Kanif Sebright and the late Sothemba Tshuma he has worked and performed with many Hip Hop artists from South Africa and abroad.
